Recognizing and celebrating the contribution of Scouting in educating and moulding young people as well as in training adults and providing invaluable services to local communities in Africa in line with Resolution (CM Res 1607 (LXII)) of the 62nd ordinary session of the Council of Ministers of the Organization of the Africa Unity (now Africa Union) meeting in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on 21-23 June 1995 that declared 13th March the Africa Scout Day

Participants Scouts aged 14 years and above, adult leaders and volunteers, partners of Scouting and representatives of Governments and intergovernmental agencies
